Saint Sebastian was one of the first gay icons, a Catholic saint appropriated by 19th century Decadents as a representation of male desire. A window installation at Art Metropole recalls this figure in an attempt to imbue themes of healing and gender fluidity into tragic queer narratives. Materials included lavender, shepherd’s purse, and vintage glass urinals.
